Self-Plagiarism. It is easy to avoid self-plagiarism. It is acceptable, even desirable, to build on your prior published works. Just be sure to cite such works in your submission. If you reuse a small portion of wording from your prior works, you need just explain in your paper at the appropriate section of your text that the section is re-using such previously used wording and cite that work.
